This Page is reserved for our Honored Elders.  These individuals, regardless of age, have show us their wisdom, compassion, and courage.  They have inspired us, guide us, and help us move forward to achieve our goals, and help us to help ourselves and each other.

Ms. Elsie W. Cofield Founder and president of AIDS Interfaith Network, Inc., Mrs. Cofield has been awarded many honors for her passion and dedication to people living with HIV/AIDS.
Seph J. Mayo 

Seph was one of the original founders of "Together Through Touch" a free monthly massage program for people with HIV.  He is a licensed massage therapist, practitioner and teacher of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and has own considerable experience working with people living with HIV/AIDS.  Seph Mayo believes in the benefits of self empowerment for people living with the virus and those around them, and has been a guide for many, and is a Life=Enhancement specialist.

Dr. Alvin Novick

June 27, 1925 - April 10, 2005

Dr. Novick helped to found and to chair AIDS Project New Haven and founded and chaired the Mayor's Task Force on AIDS (1986-1991), participated in creating essentially all of the AIDS service programs in New Haven, including the Needle Exchange.   Dr. Novick always made him self available to the HIV Consumer Council when advise was needed, and was always a wealth of knowledge, wisdom, compassion, and inspiration to those living and working with HIV/AIDS.  (Read more about Dr. Novick's Accommplishments. )
